PROFILE OF HER EXCELLENCY

MRS. HANNAH AMA NYARKO AMBASSADOR

OF GHANA TO THE STATE OF ISRAEL

Her Excellency Mrs. Hannah Ama Nyarko arrived in Israel on 2nd January 2018 and presented her Letters of Credence to the President of Israel, His Excellency Mr. Reuven Rivlin on 12th March, 2018.

A career Diplomat, Ambassador Hannah Nyarko joined the Ghana Foreign Service in January 1992.

Until her appointment as Ghana’s first female Ambassador to the State of Israel on 5th December 2017, H.E. Mrs. Hannah Nyarko was the Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Ghana to the Kingdom of Belgium, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and Mission to the European Union.

In the course of her career, Ambassador Hannah Nyarko has served in various capacities at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, including Director in charge of Administration, Director responsible for the Americas Bureau and Deputy Director at the Africa and Africa Union Bureau, among others.

Overseas, Ambassador Nyarko has served in Ghana’s Diplomatic Missions in Brussels, Geneva, Pretoria, Kuala Lumpur and Washington D.C.

Ambassador Hannah Nyarko holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Administration (Management option) and a Master of Arts degree in International Affairs from the University of Ghana, Ghana’s premier University.

She is married and blessed with two daughters and a son. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, baking, sports and listening to classical and gospel music.
