GUIDELINES FOR VISA APPLICATION
ALL VISA APPLICANTS ARE STRONGLY ADVISED TO SUBMIT THEIR APPLICATIONS AND PASSPORTS FOR VISAS TWO WEEKS TO ONE MONTH PRIOR TO THE INTENDED DATE OF DEPARTURE.

2. An applicant should be of Israeli Nationality or be officially resident in Israel.
3. An applicant should have a valid Passport with an expiry date of at least Six (6) months from the date
of application for visa.
4. An applicant shall complete a visa application form and attach Four (4) passport size photographs which were taken not more than three (3) months from the date of submitting the application.
5. An applicant should possess a return air ticket or a flight confirmation statement from an acknowledged
Travel Agency which should be submitted upon request.
6. Applications for official, business and student visas shall be submitted together with a letter of invitation
from the principals in Ghana and or in Israel.

An application for a visa shall take not more than FIVE (5) business days to process.

In the case of journalist and or film crew who are covering an event or shooting a film in Ghana, the application shall take Two weeks (14 days) for processing. In addition, such an applicant shall complete another form to indicate the nature of coverage and equipment to be taken to Ghana. Upon arrival in Ghana, such applicant shall call at the Ministry of Information for accreditation.

NOTE:
APPLICANTS MUST INCLUDE THEIR PASSPORTS AS PART OF THEIR APPLICATIONS, AS ALL VISAS, IF ISSUED, ARE INSERTED INTO THE PASSPORTS.
Incomplete visa forms & incorrect information will render your application for a visa permit void

Visa Application Fees are non-refundable.

In accordance with INTERNATIONAL SANITARY REGULATIONS all persons entering Ghana are requested to have a valid certificate of immunization against yellow fever.

Applicants must submit their fellow fever vaccination certificate together with visa application form to the Embassy and also keep it and present it at the port of entry in Ghana.

Applicants must also submit the following documents:

Completed visa application form

Valid passport for at least six (6) months (Before Expiration)

Letter of invitation from host in Ghana or hotel reservation

Visa Fee - cash

Four photographs of applicant. Should be taken at least within the last three months

Affix each photograph with glue on the top right comer of the application form.

Business VISAS:
Application for business visa should be submitted with a letter from your Firm guaranteeing your stay in Ghana and stating the reasons for your visit in English. Two (2) References are required. Please provide the names, business and email addresses as well as the telephone numbers, one which must be a mobile phone number, of your business associates and their companies as your references in Ghana. A hotel may be used only as a second reference. The Embassy reserves the right to demand a letter of guarantee from your business associates in Ghana.
Visitors/tourist VISAS:
Application for visitors\tourist visa should be submitted with names and addresses of Two (2) References, one of which can be proof of hotel reservation where you will be lodging.
Study/Student VISAS:
Application for study/student visa should be submitted with a letter from your university and polytechnic administrator – stating the reasons for your visit and your financial means whilst in Ghana. You should provide a Letter of Acceptance from the Institution at which you will be attached during your practical training in Ghana. Please use the name and address of the Institution in Ghana as your reference.
Employment VISAS:
Application for employment visa should be submitted with an Employment Contract, and proof of grant of Employment Quota in Ghana. Two (2) References are required, one of which should be the company or organization you will be working for whilst in Ghana.
Validity and residence period:
A single entry Visa is valid for entry into Ghana within three months, i.e. the visa expires if not used to travel within three (3) months from the date of issue. However, the actual period permitted for stay in Ghana shall be as endorsed by Ghana Immigration Service at the point of entry into Ghana, usually 60 days.
Special note for multiple entry applicants:
Multiple entry visas endorsed for six (6) months means that the applicant is granted unlimited entries into Ghana within six (6) months of date of issue of the visa. It does not entitle the applicant to enter and remain in Ghana for six months. On each entry into Ghana, the period of permitted stay in Ghana will be endorsed by the Ghana Immigration Service at the point of entry, usually 60 days.
